Pastor Pledge
A Nationwide Call for Pastors to Lead with Courage
“The decision to sign the Pastor Pledge and for our church to become a House of Refuge church is one of the easiest decisions I’ve had to make as Pastor. Our church now knows that when families run to the church rather than running to an abortion clinic we will have a chance to journey with Mom and baby and to be part of a double miracle.”

"I thank God for ministries like Love Life and wholeheartedly stand behind the Pastors’ pledge. This is a historic opportunity to join together and put to action Proverbs 31:8-9
I know God is going to continue to move, as we stand together in this next step in the fight against abortion."

"I’m in full support and have signed the Pastor Pledge—to see the Lord work not only in our churches but in our government, to see the lives of the unborn saved, and to show the compassion of Christ to all. This is a much needed work for the church."

Since 2016 We Have Seen...
For more than fifty years, taxpayer money has been used to fund Planned Parenthood, which annually receives close to $700 million from government sources. Instead of nurturing families, these funds have contributed to the destruction of millions of preborn lives and have promoted confusion about gender identity and human value. Despite their claims of care and compassion, the reality is that Planned Parenthood has fostered brokenness and devastation in our nation.
We prayerfully plead with you to take immediate action to stop all government funding to Planned Parenthood. In doing so, you will uphold the biblical truth that every human is created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) as well as our nation’s founding principles that ALL Americans deserve the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This decisive measure aligns with your vision for a “Golden Age” in America—one that creates opportunity for all humans to flourish, including the most vulnerable among us.
As pastors and faith leaders, we pledge to make our churches places of refuge for families considering abortion. By partnering with pregnancy care centers and other life-affirming ministries, we stand ready to offer compassionate support to mothers, fathers, and children in need. Our congregations are committed to walking alongside these families, demonstrating Christ’s love for the orphan both inside and outside of the womb.
The Church is the solution to the current abortion crisis. We are prepared to provide not only spiritual guidance but also practical assistance to ensure that no family feels alone in their time of need. We respectfully request the opportunity to meet with you and your administration to discuss how we can work together to build a culture of life in America.
May God grant you wisdom and courage as you lead our nation. We continue to pray for you and for all those in positions of authority, that they may govern with justice and righteousness.
The Bible is full of men and women we call heroes of the faith. Moses, Nehemiah, Esther, John the Baptist, Paul and others spoke directly to those in power to deal with matters of Biblical Justice. They stood up for righteousness and God's glory. This is nothing different. This is our time to speak to the leaders of our day and to demonstrate that we will be marked by love in our communities.
We currently have over 400 churches in our House of Refuge Network that we have trained to prevent abortions from happening in their church, provide healing to those who have had an abortion in their past, and protect the unborn in their city.
The training is designed to make things very simple for the pastor yet effective in serving families in need. We have countless stories of impact as as a result. Once you appoint a representative from your church, they will have free access to our complete training and our weekly zoom meetings with other leaders across the nation.
Even if he does not defund Planned Parenthood, we know the answer to the abortion crisis is THE CHURCH. The House of Refuge Initiative is designed to create a culture in our cities where men and women stop running to Planned Parenthood and start running to the Church instead.
Your people will be equipped to offer hope of the gospel and the help of the church through your ministry wherever they live, work, and play. Church members of House of Refuge Churches are more likely to speak up when they hear of someone facing a crisis pregnancy and point them to your church so they never need to go some where like Planned Parenthood.
The Bible – We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, serving as the final standard for faith and life.
God – We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal in power and glory.
Jesus Christ – We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, bodily resurrection, and His future return to establish His kingdom.
Salvation – We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. All who repent and believe in Him are forgiven, made new, and given eternal life.
The Sanctity of Life – We believe that every human life, from the moment of conception, is sacred and created in the image of God. We believe that God created humanity in His image, male and female, and that a person’s biological sex is a fixed, God-given reality that cannot be changed. As such, we are called to defend, protect, and value every life—both in and out of the womb.
Marriage & Sexuality – We believe that God created marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church. Sexuality is a gift from God, to be expressed only within the marriage covenant. Any deviation from God’s design—including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and gender reassignment—falls outside His will and design for human flourishing.
The Church – We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers, called to proclaim the Gospel and be a light in the darkness. The Church has been entrusted with the mission to disciple nations, care for the vulnerable, and stand for truth.
The Holy Spirit – We believe in the power and work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers, convicts the world of sin, and empowers us to live transformed lives and fulfill the Great Commission.
The Resurrection – We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life in God’s presence and the lost to eternal separation from Him.
The Mission – We believe that God has called us to stand for life, disciple the next generation, and equip the Church to be a refuge for the most vulnerable
